4 reasons not to buy followers on Instagram

 

1. Fake followers don't interact

None of my Instagram accounts received a like or comment, despite having thousands of new followers.

How could anyone resist Rosie's ears? I don't understand, but the truth is that none of my fake followers cared.

Of course, it makes sense that buying followers doesn't include an increase in engagement. These companies charge separately for that.

2. Fake followers are obviously fake

The IG Audit tool was developed by a NASA scientist, and it works by scanning 200 random trackers to establish criteria. From this, we know that at least 40 of my fake followers seem slightly realistic - well, for the software. Regardless, from a brand partner's perspective, this is a failing grade.

4. Instagram could suspend your account

Instagram has a keen interest in making its platform a place where people want to spend their time. However, an army of fraudulent accounts doesn't make anyone feel human, much less connected. Consequently, Instagram has implemented many methods to reduce unwanted behavior on the platform.

The platform regularly removes fake accounts, which means your followers could disappear at any time.

And in late 2018, an Instagram spokesperson told that accounts linked to third-party pirated apps could lose access to some Instagram features.

What to do instead of buying followers on Instagram

2. Stay updated

3. Put your business in order

If you haven't already done so, convert your Instagram account to a Business profile. Business accounts have tools that personal profiles don't. This is extremely important as you develop your Instagram marketing strategy.

4. A / B test some of your ads

If you have the budget to buy followers, then you also have the budget to test different marketing strategies with your ads.

To grow your following, choose an appropriate goal for your ad campaign, such as brand awareness or reach, so that your ads reach people who have never heard of you, but are interested in doing so.
